Head Coach, ACHA Division II Men’s Ice Hockey                                                                                               2011 to Present

• Evaluates players at tryouts and finalizes a 30 man roster

• Creates yearly budget and oversees any financial spending

• Organizes and implements team transportation, drivers, hotels and meals

• Communicates with multiple school departments and oversees players academic eligibility

• Produces and coaches on ice practice plans, team systems and off ice video sessions

• Oversees day to day operations and game day operations

• Teaches players individual skills

• Identifies players strengths/weaknesses and creates drills to enhance the strengths and better develop the weaknesses of each player

• Establish an environment that will put players in situations to be successful

• Lead players on and off the ice to grow into respected community members

• Oversees all hiring of coaches and directly supervises coaches in each program session

• Works with coaches on the ice to develop leadership skills and teaching ability

• Teaches all basic on ice hockey skills: skating, passing, stickhandling and shooting

• Finalize, distribute, collect and organize registration forms and directly assists in marketing the LTPH program

• Plans, schedules and implements weekly program sessions and special events

• Maintains, organizes, distributes and collects all equipment

• Directly works with the Athens Youth Hockey Association to build numbers in the association and help the association grow

• Obtains potential coaches for each team in AYHA

• Conducts interviews with coaching candidates and makes professional recommendations to the AYHA Board

• Works directly with the AYHA Registrar to ensure coaches are up to date on USA Hockey Certifications

• Facilitates discussion sessions between all coaches of AYHA

• Advises coaches on practice plans and evaluates coaches on ice and delivers feedback
