INCLUSIVE EVENT                                                                                                                                             ATHENS, OH

Ohio University’s Department of Recreation Management, Bird Ice Arena and Expanding Your Horizons collaborated to create an inclusive event for individuals with mental and physical disabilities.  This event was designed to give the Expanding Your Horizons participants a new and different experience within the recreation field.

• Facility point of contact for event coordinator

• Event set up and break down

• Worked directly with event coordinator for the day of event operations

• Acquired Ohio University Synchronized Skating team and Division II Hockey team as event special guests

 

JUNIOR SPRING OLYMPICS                                                                                                                 NELSONVILLE, OH

Host and Coordinator                                                                                                                                              April 13, 2014

 

Junior Spring Olympics was a charity event to raise money for the non-profit organization Global Gymnastics Boosters.

• Contacted and acquired sponsorships

• Promoted through social media, school flyers and community businesses

• Coordinated directly with the athletic teams and athletes for volunteer service

• Pre-event set up, day of hosting the event and closing ceremonies, post-event clean up

 

NICHOLAS J. STACHLER MEMORIAL SKATE                                                                                           ATHENS, OH

Event Co-Founder and Director                                                                                             March 29, 2014 & March 28, 2015

Nicholas J. Stachler Memorial Skate was an event to raise money to go into an athletic scholarship fund in his name.  The scholarship will be given annually to allow Athens youth community members a chance to play the great game of hockey.

• Acquire sponsor and obtained ice time

• Promoted through community and social media

• Day of set up, event operations and clean up
